Matthew has built his career in serious litigation. For nearly two decades, he served the citizens of Hamilton County, Ohio as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. During that time, he handled cases ranging from minor misdemeanors to complex felonies. In addition to his work inside the courtroom, Matt also helped to create and lead the Elder Justice Unit, working in the community to protect senior citizens from the dangers of scams, fraud, and financial exploitation.

Since joining BHMK, Matt has focused his practice on commercial and business litigation. As part of the firm’s litigation team, he advises clients on their risk and potential liability in front of the jury and works to find solutions that achieve client goals quickly and efficiently. Matt brings a trial-tested perspective to every case he handles. After nearly twenty years in the courtroom, he knows how juries think and how to position complex disputes for success, whether through negotiation or at the courthouse.
